Inspiration-Project 2

Hello everyone!

This week's post is one of the few images I found for research for my project 2....I love this logo because it is unique and it has it's own personal style to it....also, the color red makes it feel a little more intimidating. The font choice for this that I found on identifont.com was they said the font name was "Plotta" if it is this font, it is very creative and fun to look at!!

Everyone have a good rest of the week!! :-)

ILLINOIS FONT

Hello everybody! This week, my inspiration is the ILLINOIS font. I looked up on the Identifont site and it said that the possible font they could've used was "Predicate." It is a sans-serif font, and the reason why I like this font (if it was used for this, is because it's nice and elegant and it brings some intimidation to the given picture because Illinois is a sports team.

Hopefully everybody has a good rest of the week! :-)

Eastern Illinois Font

Hello everybody!

This week my inspirational font that I chose was Eastern Illinois's logo font. On Identifont.com, I found that the possible font that they use for EIU's logo is, "Baxter New Style." The reason why I chose this for inspiration is because, I just got accepted to EIU for next year...I'm excited, and ready to take on new challenges that lay ahead of me, I also chose this logo, because I think the font they used is very unique and professional looking.

Bruce Webber Font

Hello everyone!

Hope everybody is having a great week so far. This week I wanted to post up a picture that's hanging up in my room about the head Men's Basketball Coach of Illinois, Bruce Webber. I thought it was kind of interesting that I could name this font of the serif typefaces, and I like how it stands out with the colors.

Hope everyone has a a great rest of the week!

The News Gazette Typeface

Hello everybody!

Hope everyone had a great week! my typeface inspiration this week is the "News Gazette" typeface. I have always been interested to what kind of typeface they use and the reason why they use the type of font that they use! I like it, and to me it shows a little history to the town of Champaign-Urbana. I also found inspiration to the Chief photo because Illinois starts their football season this Saturday!

Hope everyone has a great 4 day weekend.

Research/Copyright for Project 1-The Century Typeface

The Century Typeface is a serif font that was created by Morris Fuller back in 1906. Century is a great typeface for people to use while doing projects, or anything else on a designing program. It is also well known for its exceptional readability. In a website that I found it says that, "Century is so legible and neutral in tone that it is required by the U.S. Supreme Court that all briefs be presented by typeset in the Century family" (The Century Typeface-An American Original). There are many types of fonts that are in the Century family these include, "Century Bold Condensed, Century Gothic, Century Expanded Italic, Century Bold, and Century Expanded"(Ascender Corporation: Century Font). This font I think is going to be fun researching because not only is thiss font a good typeface to use, but it has a well-known history that makes it popular to use.
